Make sure the text field has focus, crank rotor round to words, flick up to go back a word at a time, crank rotor to characters and flick up or down to move by one hcaracter until you're in the right spot. Remember that the cursor is to the side of the last spoken character, relative to the direction you were going, so a down flick would be to the right. This makes a difference when it comes to inserting, or deleting. Delete works on the character left of the cursor position.
