Hi Craig, If there is a "Button-Free" mode like there was before I sure don't know where it is supposed to be. The main now playing screen is laid out very simply and there is no such option there.
In any case, when I called Audible after I updated and realized I couldn't find buttons for previous and next or rewind/fast forward, I was told by the support agent that these are no longer available with or without Voiceover. The only way to jump forward or backward by chapter is to use the lock screen or App switcher audio controls or, inside the Audible app, to go to the Chapters and Bookmarks page where you have a list of all chapters and double tapping on any of them will instantly start to play at the beginning of that chapter. If Audible could fix it so that at least Voiceover would say "Now Playing" in front of whichever chapter is currently playing, I would be quite happy to use this method to jump to which ever chapter I want.
