Hello all,

I have a 32 Gig iPhone 4S that I purchased on Oct 15, 2011 and I have Apple
Care Plus for it. Unfortunately my sleep/power switch has become very hard to
use. I have always had my phone in a case & have never dropped or gotten it
wet. Currently I have a speck candyshell case on my phone, however even when I
take the phone out of the case it's still very hard to get it to sleep/wake
using the switch.

I do have a Genius Bar appointment this afternoon, and until then I've been
using the assistive touch menu as a work around, however I've seen on the
internet that some people have had problems getting Apple to exchange their
phones, now they could be people who don't have Apple Care Plus but I know my
phone is under warrenty as ironically I was at the Apple Store on Friday and
was able to exchange my power cable which was fraying.

Apparently this is a well documented thing that happens to iPhone 4 & iPhone
4S's. I'm shocked as one would think as much as we use the home button that
that would wear out much faster!

My question is has anyone on this list had their power/sleep button become hard
to use? If so, did Apple exchange the phone? I know I could upgrade to the
iPhone 5 but I don't want to, I'd like to see what happens this year with the
new update.

This is my original iPhone 4S, I had 3 iPhone 3GS's (all exchanged through the
Genius Bar) as I had battery problems with the first 2 so within a 1.5 year
time span I had 3 3GS's and in the same amount of time I have only had 1 4S.
Oh yeah, do you know if the phones you get when you exchange them at Apple are
they refurbished or are they new?

Thankks,
Katey
