Hi, I would describe the piece that goes into your ear as almost oval shaped. If you can imagine an oval shape, but one end of the oval is cornered. Sort of like a sideways padlock. Speaking of a padlock, they have a loop at the top. So, imagine turning it sideways. The ear piece which goes into your ear has a loop thing as well. This part can latch onto the ridge of your ear in the front and it actually helps it stay on. I understand that some Bose earphones use this design as well. As for using it with Siri, I think it's hit and miss. I recently had the Plantronics M165, which has 7 hours of talk time and is far newer than the M50, yet the call quality is not that good, and I wanted something with more talk time. The M50 is currently the number 1 bluetooth earphone sold on amazon, and it has more than a 4-star rating as compared to other Plantronics models like the M165, M155, and M55. It's also cheaper right now at around $30 which is far better than $50 or $80 like some others. From what I've read so far, the only reason why people don't always give it a 5 star rating is because of how comfortable it might be. Most say it's fine, but some say it's not. So, it highly depends on what shape your ears have. I'll be receiving mine in the next few days and can report back. I'm getting this as a replacement over the Motorola S11 headphones I purchased back in October. Don't even get me started there. The music is great on them, but the call quality got worse as time passed, and they have a design flaw in the back center of the headset. Hope that helps. -- Raul A.
