Hopefully they take the approach they did with Feedburner. Last October everyone thought the world was caving in with Feedburner possibly going away, but they just moved it in-house, though I wonder how this will all shake out if RSS feeds is taking a back seat. Anyway, here's the link to the petition if you're interested in signing up. Sorry if it's already been posted:

This is where Google Reader was such a good solution. And while other solutions exist, Google has the infrastructure to pull something like this off. It takes a lot of bandwidth and server power to run a sync solution for millions of people. I'm sure if necessary, market forces will kick in and someone may well set up a service you have to pay for. And who knows, I guess if enough people keep signing those petitions, perhaps Google will reconsider. I've only had Feeddler Pro & Google reader for a few Months or so, but now that I have the hang of it, I've greatly enjoyed it. Fingers crossed, Feeddler comes up with something great & user friendly. ;) Traci Come climb with me (in spirit) and please support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with a donation. The developer of Feeddler sent a tweet to say that the app wasn't going away and to stay tuned. The issue of course is that if a bunch of replacements emerge, and you enjoy reading RSS content across platforms, you'll need to find a solution that is accessible on all the platforms. Google's been doing a bit of house cleaning of late, closing services. But I think they're underestimated just how much reaction shutting Reader down was going to cause. It seems to me, you couldn't find a rss app that didn't depend on a google account. http://www.cultofmac.com/219659/google-shutting-down-reader-by-july-1/ Sent from my iPhone -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
