Hi. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that if you want to play music you have stored in iTunes match when off the grid you need to download it in advance. Some people keep a play list of favorite songs for this purpose, downloading when they need to be without WIFI for a protracted period of time and then erasing the playlist from their phones when they return. I think the real purpose of iTunes Match is not to provide eternal access to all of our music; rather, to enable the user to store (and download from the iTunes store) more music than the capacity of the phone allows. I think there is a limit to how many songs not purchased from iTunes one can include on iTunes match;; it's some crazy high number that you and I are not even close to. HTH.

However, if I am using cellular data, my songs do not seamlessly stream from the cloud. In fact, if I am, for instance, playing a shuffled selection from all of my 2000 songs, most will not play at all and I see a "download" icon when I swipe past the song title. Do I have something set wrong? Otherwise, iTunes Match seems woefully inadequate to me, since I can't get wifi in many of the public transportation, office and restaurant locations I frequent. Does anyone have any helpful thoughts? Suzanne -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
