The correct name for the paid app is Tune-In Radio Pro. I've had it for a while, so I really can't remember what I paid for it. I upgraded to the paid version very shortly after I downloaded the free app, but can't remember exactly why. It may be similar to Pandora in that one is limited to a certain number of hours per month of listening time with the free app. I hear ads on the various radio stations using the paid app, but this doesn't bother me, as I find it interesting to listen to ads from other parts of the world.
