You should really start by trying some out. I have a set, and when the
noise reduction is turned on, it changes the quality of the sound and
they give me a headache. A much better bet is a set of full
ear-covering headphones, you can get Sony's for $50 at Walmart or the
Senheizer's start around $100. If you really want noise cancelling, you
should be able to find some around the same price, they just won't say
bose on them.
