Nope!

On your iPhone, you would go to settings,Bluetooth. Assuming of course you put the supplied batteries in the keyboard and actually put them in the right way round, <grin> your phone will announce Bluetooth keyboard not paired. Then just press and hold the flush mounted rubber button for a couple of seconds and turn the keyboard back over and be ready to type. Voice over will read you the code like 87000. If you typed it correctly it will announce paring was successful. Then you can then turn the keyboard off and on again and it will still be pared. I assume though that when the batteries die, you probably would have to go through it all over again but that's just a guess so if I'm wrong, somebody please correct me.

PS: When you coming home Ray?

Thank you for this. I got my Amazon Basics Bluetooth Keyboard yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised at how well made it is and how easy it was to pare
with my iPhone. Well worth the 30 bucks I paid for it. My only quibble
with it is the raised markings on a few of the keys could of been more
prominent. These will be gone within the year. Other then that minor
thing, this is a great little Bluetooth keyboard.

The only time I found just hitting enter works to activate something is
when putting in a password.

Hi:
First the podcast on this keyboard was excellent. Thanks for saving me
a bunch of work. My question is that when I am on an item such as
calendar I would assume that I should press enter to activate it. That
does not work. So how do I do that? Also, the bottom left key is fn. I
am not sure what it does yet though.
