The only time I ever had trouble pairing the Bluetooth device with my iPhone four, at the time, was when I was pairing the Verbatum keyboard. I had no idea where the 1 key was, so I couldn't pare it without sighted assistance. The pairing involved entering a code on the keyboard, and finding the one key was a bit strange. I actually used Vizwiz to find it. That was the only time that I've ever had trouble pairing a keyboard, though.
