Yes, you don't need a credit card to use the Apple store. Your actually
better off not using a credit card. Why? Because if your your account gets
hacked, they can hit you up for quite a bit of money. On the other hand, if
you use a gift card, they come in 10, 15, 25, 50, and 100 dollar mounts, all
you can be tagged for is the amount of your credit. When you enter in a
gift card amount, it's shown up as a credit such as say 15 dollars.
I got a 50 dollar iTunes gift card last Christmas and still have half of it
left. Very handy and you can buy the gift cards in quite a few places or on
line.

Yes buy a gift card or gift certificate. Gift cards are available in
stores and online and gift certificates are available from Apple and other
places online.

Apps are not allowed to be shared according to Apple. They are digitally
signed against your Apple Id. The way around this is to sign out of your
own Apple Id, sign into one you know, then you can install it on your
device under the purchased section. Apple allows up to 5 devices per
Apple Id. So nothing illegal here except to say sharing apps with others
would be violating Apple's terms.
