It will let a caller through who calls a number of times within a certain period. I don't believe it will block all callers between set periods or what would be the point. The phone can be turned off if you want to totally left alone and all callers then go directly to voice mail. This option lets you choose options as to who gets through. I should say too that I read about this but have not used it. I leave my phone on all the time.
