It was actually a problem on our end. We've found that the web version of the system has gotten WAY too popular with a couple of search engines and activity from one in China, in particular, has been so very intense as to negatively impact performance for our legitimate users. In the process of putting in some keys to protect the folks who really use Digit-Eyes and who are not just trying to snag UPC codes, I coded one of the retrievals in such a way as to cause an issue for (hopefully) a very small number of users.
JoJo did call and it was very helpful and we figured the problem out and fixed it. She, incidentally, has a very clever thing she is doing with Digit-Eyes. When she is bringing in her shopping, she puts a bit of scotch tape over the UPC code. Digit-Eyes will read right through the tape without any problem and that makes the code easy to find by touch. Its a nifty little idea and I'm going to try it myself!
