I think Rob is correct that is has something to do with iMessage as opposed to 
SMS messages. I looked in the iPhone settings under Messages and there is a 
switch for "Send as SMS". It says "Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable." 
You may want to check and make sure you have this turned on. You could also try 
to text your husband on his Android phone without using BrailleTouch and see if 
that works.

BrailleTouch uses the same Apple-provided messages screen as Fleksy and other 
apps. I do not recall seeing a developer option to control whether it uses 
iMessage or SMS, but I'll check again. My assumption is that this Apple 
messaging screen follows your iPhone messaging settings, so hopefully the above 
suggestion will work for you.

@rob was correct. I have changed the setting under messaging to SMS on and now 
the texting works!
