Alan, NFB does not cover my local news paper and some others I want. However, I am not sure I will subscribe to earl. The other reason people might like it is that it is totally without searching around for things on the screen. Some might find this easier.

I would think that what's available digitally from most newspapers is going to be pretty fixed and that each external service getting access to the paper will have the same population of articles available to it. If that is the case, wouldn't you want the service with the lowest price provided the service features were comparable? I'll admit to being new to reading newspapers with iPhone apps so I readily admit my ignorance up front which is why I'm posting to get comments from the more experienced.
