I have tried the following with StandScan: Prizmo, SayTex, Text Detector Perfect OCO, and Text Grabber. The OCR app that I got the most inconsistencies was Text Detector. I seem to travitate to either Text Grabber or Prizmo. I have had good clean results with Perfect OCR. I need to test out SayText again to see how it will respond with the StandScan. HTH.
