When your using the bluetooth radio, it requires power from the speaker. When you just use a 3.5 Mm plug from your iPhone to the speaker, it is not using the bluetooth radio and so nothing is being drawn as far as power goes.

I have the hmdx jam jar speaker, which I love! If I remember correctly, it is 4 hours battery life via bluetooth and 12 hours via the 3.5 jack. Well, I have been mostly using it via the audio cable and I sware it has been way beyond 12 hours. Does it eventually draw any power from my iDevice? I'm baffled here, I've used it on bluetooth for a short while, but for the last couple weeks, I've used it exclusively via the cord. What do you think is up? I haven't charged the thing once. Lol, not complaining, but the tech girl in me is curious. Traci -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
