, if the user uses an audio cable between the Bluetooth speaker and the iPhone
there should be no battery drain other then the normal operation of playing
music. Battery power would be no greater even if the Bluetooth radio was in
use and the audio is being sent to the speaker from the phone to the speaker.
There shouldn't be any grate noticeable power loss either way. The input on
the speaker is for mp3 players with out Bluetooth.

I have a Bose Sound Doc 10 with a Bluetooth adapter. This lets me connect via
the Bluetooth connection and does not require a cable however, there is such an
input provided for players with out a Bluetooth capability just as there is not
always a coc connector for every device. I can for example play my Victor
Reader Stream through that audio in jack using an audio cable with male 3.5 Mm
plugs on each end. I have never noticed any power differences between the
Bluetooth connector or a cable.

Perhaps the 3.5 mm jak does not use the battery at all. Who knows.

have the hmdx jam jar speaker, which I love! If I remember correctly, it is 4
hours battery life via bluetooth and 12 hours via the 3.5 jack. Well, I have
been mostly using it via the audio cable and I sware it has been way beyond 12
hours.

used it on bluetooth for a short while, but for the last couple weeks, I've
used it exclusively via the cord.
