The Feeddler developer is toying with the idea of running his own server. Naturally, it would take money to run it, so he asks if people would be interested in a monthly subscription. I told him it’s pretty hard to beat free, or a one-time payment, but I am a fan of the ease of use of the app and might be persuaded if the site is a good, accessible one.
That brings me to another point. I never used Google Reader itself. The website was a pain, so whatever alternative I go with, I’d like to at least have the option of consuming content on my PC. Has anyone come up with some alternatives in that regard? I agree with Matthew, if syncing across devices isn't important, for now it is pretty hard to beat Lire. But I do want a solution that keeps my feeds in sync on my iPhone, iPad and Mac. Hopefully the developer of Feeddler will come through before the end of next month.
