Hi, Casey! I just joined this list last night, and read your message a little while ago.
I have the iPhone 5 and after trying a couple of cases, with which I wasn't happy, I ended buying what's called a shell. The case is plastic and covers the bottom of the phone. I tried the Lifeproof which is totally waterproof. It's a wonderful concept, but because it covers the entire phone, including the speaker, VoiceOver was a bit distorted to me, thus the reason for my purchasing the shell which I like a lot. The salesman at my local AT&T store was wonderful, knew all about VoiceOver, and he also covered my screen with a screen protector so that the glass wouldn't get scratched.
