Hi Andy, For me personally, cookbooks and knitting books are great references that the reader can go back to time and time again. Plus professional reference books.

As someone else pointed out, Bookshare is kind of like a library. Well, admittedly, you can keep the books from Bookshare. But now that I am able to, I view it as a way to check out a book and read it, then find it if I like it and purchase. It's what my Mom did with print books. Still does. She'll go to the library, check out a copy, read it, and if she likes it, will purchase it in hardcover or Kindle. I see Bookshare in a similar way, since I don't know how well Overdrive works for checking out accessible e-books to borrow, and I don't want to check out a library book and risk damaging it by scanning it. I'm ore than happy to shell out money when I have it, though, to get books, especially now. Reading with the Kindle app is so slick, even compared to iBooks.
