The iPhone groups messages into subject by default. You can go into settings, mail, and turn off sort by conversation. Then all the messages will appear one by one. so, if you have 100 messages, they will be 1 by 1. I like it better the other way. If I'm not interested in the topic, I just delete the lot in one shot. Much faster if you get allot of mail like I do.
