Google maps isn't difficult but the map is just abominable around here and it's
walking directions are dangerous. I used it a couple of times to try and get
to clients, once in port colbourne where it walked me a sort of figure 8 around
the block where the bus dropped off, then gave me 5 directions at once and told
me I'd arrived at my destination. Once in Bradfort where it ignored the
lighted intersection not 50 paces behind me and tried to tell me to thump right
across the main highway extension through the town. No crosswalk, no nothing.
So, google maps is not my friend.

Navigon did alright on my ITouch 4th gen though. I had it fired up with an old
xgps cradle and it did alright.

It's 40 bucks for the canadian version, but maybe if we're lucky the seeing eye
app will come out before science figures out how to genetically grow all of us
new eyes and we'll have a fully functioning gps for more than twice the price.

Have fun,

Erik Burggraaf
