Hi, The Plantronics M50 is good for this if you want privacy and something which won't jab into your ear. The rubber part rests on the ridge of your ear, just before it goes into the canal. If you don't want to hear it, you can pull it out a little and it will still stay on, but give you total access to hearing what's around you. It's also only for one ear, but the hook can easily swivel to be used with either ear. For the longest time this was the number 1 bluetooth ear piece sold on Amazon in the cell phone accessory category. The cost is around $29 and you get that with free shipping.

Good luck.
