I recently complained on this list that my husband's iPod was not playing albums in order. Eventually my iPhone wasn't either. I called Apple Care about this and although the problem has been fixed I am still baffled by the man's explanation.
According to the rep there is not one, but two shuffle buttons on the phone. He described the one he wanted me to change as a crisscross f arrows that changes colors when it is tapped. Fortunately, my sighted husband was here and he found it and tapped it until it was the requisite white, which means off. Orange means shuffle. The weird part is, not only was the music on my phone instantly straighten out, but so was the music on his iPod. It is as if there are two buttons: the one you tap just to shuffle an album or play list and this master switch that shuffle the entire world. Does anybody understand what I am talking about? Now I am afraid to shuffle a play list for fear I'll inadvertently trip this master switch again. Sandy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
