Along this same line, has anyone had experience with the Kinivo Bluetooth
Stereo Headset? I saw on a Dealnews posting that it's on sale for $20.00
at
newEgg today. In general, is there any particular spec one needs to keep
in
mind for VoiceOver to work properly when browsing for a stereo headset
device? I've got the Plantronics M50, but was also looking into getting a
stereo headset too.
In any event, below is the link to the Dealnews posting I referenced
earlier
if anyone wants to give it a look.

Hello Allen & All,
Well, this is interesting that it is an iOS problem, but does sound
plausible. When my fiance came home from work I had him to pair it to his
Droid Bionic and it works to his satisfaction. He played Pandora and
didn't
experience the dropping or crackeling sounds I did on Pandora on my 4S.
Also, he's sighted and doesn't use talk back on his droid, I may see if it
works, but I won't be switching!
So, since his 700 is relitively new, we'll trade for now. However, once
the
new iPhone comes out later this year we may have to get a new bluetooth
for
him! Also, I forgot to mention earlier that reading using Read2Go was
also
an awful experience, as it seemed that I'd lose a few words on each
sentence. Also, typing without VoiceOver on (as I do have a little
vision)
wasn't a good experience either as the key clicks wouldn't even come
through
the headset.

Katey, sorry for your problems with your headset but I can confirm
that returning items to Amazon is easy and as you described. I've only
had to return a handful of things over the years but I've always been
very satisfied with their service and the return process.
Good luck with your return.

Subject: Bluetooth LG Stereo Headsets
Hello All,
I just wanted to write you all and let you know that I ordered an LG
HBS 730 headset from Amazon to replace my older HBS 700. I read all
the reviews which were mixed but I went ahead and tried it.
Unfortunately for a voiceover user this is not a good choice. I
should have just bought the 700 as I know this worked but I thought it
would.
I should have paid attention to those reviewers who said that between
songs that audio would break up & one could hear a crackeling sound.
That's a warning for those of us who use VoiceOver as VoiceOver
stutters and texting is nearly impossible!!! I know all bluetooth
headsets have a lag, but this one is absolutely unworkable!
I know this is the headset & not my phone as I can "unpair" the 730
and repair my old trusty 700 and do the exact same thing (type a text)
and VO doesn't stutter or totally go away!
So, while I'd hoped the newer model with the voice which tells you
that you are paired & lets you know that the battery status iswould work,
it doesn't!
So, this will be my first return to Amazon! Fortunately that sounds
like it will be an eaxy process, as they said when I called them that
I can go through the website & tell them I want to return it & then I
can take it to any UPS store and they will print my lable.
I will say this, that this is my first ever return to Amazon and I've
been shopping with them since 1998!!!! So, either I've been extremely
lucky or I was fortunate that everything and everyone liked what I bought
them.
