You can get the PDFs into iBooks either through iTunes file transfer, with dropbox, or via email. For email, find the PDF file button at the bottom of the message. open the pdf. at the top of the display, find the actions button and activate it. iBooks will be one of the options. Double-tap and iBooks will open with the file in it. This is how I usually transfer files to iBooks.
