Hi Wayne, In iTunes, go to "Edit" and "Preferences" or use the shortcut key Control+Comma Now press Control+Tab 3 times to go to the Store Tab. Press tab 4 times and you get to "Music" and you want to make sure this is checked. If you tab again you find "Apps" and "Books" and you can check these as well if you want Apps and Books you buy on your phone to automatically download in iTunes next time you open it. Now tab to OK and press it and now if you buy a song on your iPhone and iTunes is open it will download instantly to your music library in iTunes.
If you use the Jaws cursor when you are on "Music" and go up a few lines you hear what these 3 checkboxes do: Automatic Downloads iTunes can automatically download new purchases made on other devices using [email protected] I am assuming your gmail address is also your Apple Id, if you use a different email address as your Apple Id it will be the one displayed here. You also have the same options on your iPhone in "Settings" and "iTunes and App Stores" If you turn automatic downloads on here, then any songs you might buy in iTunes or if you had another iDevice like an iPad would automatically download to your iPhone. I recently got an iTunes gift card for $10. I am considering getting some music through the iTunes app on my iPhone 5, but am wondering if those songs will be synced to my computer the next time I connect my phone? I don't consider myself an iTunes expert on the Windows 7 PC I have, and actually try to use iTunes as little as possible other than keeping things synced and updated, so straight forward answers would be appreciated. I set my computer to sync any/all music from the specified folder to my phone. However, if I buy some songs or an album on the phone, will those songs be added to the computer? And if so, would they be in MP3 format or another proprietary Apple format? I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4 and Windows 7 on my PC. AS if all this weren't enough, I am also looking for some useful app recommendations. I know about Voice Dream Reader, but as of yet I don't have a use for that app since I don't read a lot of documents on my phone. I like apps that perform a purpose or are challenging in some way, like the iAssociate 2 game someone recommended to me sometime ago. Ideas?
