Hi, I too was trying to update dropbox and it got stuck.
I decided to delete it and reinstall. I now discover that I have lost the password for my dropbox account. I told dropbox.com that I forgot my password. It sent me an email with a link to use to reset the password. Firefox says the address is invalid when I click on the link provided.
