Hi Christina. No you can send sms messages right from the app itself. For example, you type your message and let's say you have a contact named Mary. You would just swipe down for a new line with a one single finger swipe and type the following in MBraille. .sms Mary and then swipe down for new line. The message window will open with the messages app and the to field will have Mary's name and the text message will be in tact. All you have to do is double tap the send button.
