Chuck,

I explained this in my recent and somewhat detailed description of
PhotoVoice. What is happening is not that the Voiceover volume is reduce but
the app forces Voiceover to the earpiece. I have notified the developer of
this and hopefully he can fix this.

I just tried this app. After I record my voice, and then hit create and
listen, the bottom of the iPhone is greatly reduced. The only way I can get
the volume back up to normal is by removing the app from the apps switcher.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

you double tap on existing photo you will be taken to the next screen which
contains your photos in whatever way you have saved them. double tap on
camera roll because if you have any pictures on your phone this is where
they will go unless you have told them to go elsewhere.

double tap on any photo in order to select it. After you double tap on the
photo of your choice you should see a cancel button and a record button.
double tap the record button and you should be on your way.
