Actually, I have been using Google maps very successfully during the three-week road trip. My wife, who is cited, has been the driver. I have been the navigator. When the app opens, type on the search icon. When the search box opens in the typewriter keyboard exposes itself, simply type in the address you want to go to.
The app then assumes that you are going to want directions based on your current location. When using the app for the first time, try and get cited assistance.
