Hi Craig, I agree. The developer of the Lire app is incredible, and what you hear with VoiceOver can be customised in great detail.
There are two reasons why I continue to use Feeddler primarily. First, I find Lire takes a very long time to retrieve new content, and I have a large number of feeds. Second, Feeddler syncs with a bunch of cloud-based services. It formerly used Google Reader, and I had apps on my Mac and PC that would also sync with it. So if I read an article on one device, it would be marked as read on all of them. I've not yet found apps for Mac and Windows that support any of the new services Feeddler is supporting, but things are still shaking down after the Google Reader shut-down so I'm sure that will all sort itself out in time.
