I'd be surprised if you could get a plan without data, given how eubiquitous smartish phones are that use the data. It might be a token amount on a paig simm, but has to be there I should think. Hi Ed. I had my iPhone, which was with AT&T. My contract ran out, and I was able to cancel my data plan. I don't know if, when you get a new plan for your phone, if you have to get data with the phone service. Also, as I said, this was with AT&T. I don't know what other carriers do in this case.
