I just want to say that not all receivers and apps are created equal.
The TiVo app is very accessible. I have no problems looking for shows,
recording them, changing channels to currently playing shows, bringing
up recorded shows, deleting recordings from my TiVo box and so on. I'm
not sure if a TiVo is an option for you, but no reason to hate all
receivers and DVR's.
