Verse and inspirational thought of the day 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (ESV) Today's Inspiring Thought: Give Thanks at All Times Whenever I've faced challenging circumstances in my life, my natural tendency has been to question God and his will. I imagine you've done it, too. If we're wondering what the will of God is for us in any given situation, of this one thing we can be certain, he wants us to give thanks—to rejoice. For the joy of the Lord is our strength. As we remember to give thanks with a cheerful heart, God fills us with his strength, even in difficult circumstances. Verse and inspirational thought of the day Galatians <http://christianity.about.com/od/verseoftheday/qt/verseday57.htm> 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. (ESV) <http://christianity.about.com/od/faqhelpdesk/p/English-Standard-Version.htm > Serve Christ Not Man As servants of Christ, we must always be careful that our motive and our aim is to please Christ, not man. If we look for the approval of men, eventually we will become sorely disillusioned and disappointed <http://christianity.about.com/od/singlesresources/a/disappointment.htm> . If we are devoted to the cause of humanity, we shall soon be crushed and brokenhearted, for we shall often meet with more ingratitude from men than we would from a dog; but if our motive is to love God, no ingratitude can hinder us from serving our fellow men."
