I would suggest deploying warlocks against paladins and trying to overwhelm them with magic. For templars, use bards and melee or ranged attacks; rangers are good for this sort of work from my experience. I myself have blundered into emerald hopelessly under-leveled and without the economy to catch up, just have to build those expansions and hope for better conditions next week I guess... :P
