Hello, I do not believe there is a way to know that before hand.
I actualy have stopped using that button due to this. Most of the time it isn't very useful to use it, since you can't set up your party correctly. It is sort of like the quest area, when it doesn't list the monsters you will be fighting. I often have to battle the quest monsters once,just to get an idea who they will be. You might be able to do that with this button, but I'm not sure that you would get the same castle the second time or not. Plus the actual battle screne doesn't tell you what level the heros you are fighting are.
