List recorder will work. You will need to use the iPhone's built-in mic and speaker if using list recorder. Be aware that the volume of the iPhone is usually set to 50% when you start the recording. Open list recorder. Double-tap on add new button to start a new recording. List recorder starts recording and records everything the mic picks up, including any sound coming from the speaker. to pause / stop recording, you will need to open list recorder and double-tap on either the pause or stop button. After you are finished, I believe you can edit the recording using garage band, but am not certain of this as I do not own that app.
