I have a native Twitter app question. I read several, then go way and when
I come back I am where I left off, if it is a day or so I wish to see what I
missed but cannot figure out the way to go back to the row 1 position
without swiping forever getting out a very few rows at a time. This drives
me crazy, makes me not want to use the iPhone to do anything with it. A
supposed four-finger swipe at the top of the screen does not go to the top
of the list, not for me, it may turn off speech although I am not tapping
anything, it may move a few rows but it takes me several swipes to get where
I wanted to be, then assuming I had not read down to where I was the day
before, getting there is another slow process.

I just don't want to take forever to see the newest stuff. They keep
releasing updates but nothing seems to address my complaint.

I have an entire chapter in my forthcoming eBook, Tweeting blind, about
using the Twitter SMS interface. But to get started, assuming you're in the
US, send start to 40404.

The official Twitter for iPhone app will let you turn on notifications for
each tweet a particular Twitter account sends. I use Tweetlist for my daily
tweeting, but this notification feature is the one reason I keep Twitter for
iPhone around. It's very helpful. I use it for breaking news alerts, local
accounts relating to emergencies, and family members whose tweets I never
want to miss.

Hey guys,

Alright, I need some help here. I'm starting to use twitter quite heavily.
I have a few twitter clients on here, ecofone, twitter, etc. What I am
trying to do is maximizemy twitter experience.
There are certainly organizations who I want to get notifications from, and
it's critical that I get them, as they are time sensitive.
I know most of the programs only notify you when you get direct messages or
mentions.
What would be the good program I could use to send me notifications via text
from certain people, and can I configure text notifications by user on a
particular app? What app will let me do this?

Thanks,
Jed
