Try this. It fixed the problem for me. In settings in the app where it
says, page turn animation, I turned the switch button off.

I do the same as you. Although, I've run across books on Amazon which, at
the beginning of some pages, especially after chapter beginnings, would have
the first few letters of the first word missing. I found that a bit
