Golly, I have ios 7 on my iPhone and no sliding, no fooling around. I
just
flick right twice to get to the unlock button and single finger double tap
that and I'm in. Note: I have my phone set to not require a password.

If you're having difficulty finding the unlock button on the screen as
IM,
I have found that if you hold down the home button and tell Siri to open
an app, it will unlock phone and go directly to that app.
