Hello Pete, Do you sync your music with iTunes on the computer? Why not just unsync all your music, install iOS 7 and then sync it again. I had lots of space on my phone and you may need extra space for the update but once iOS 7 is installed I doubt it takes up more than iOS 6 or at least not much more. Also, you might want to try and update via iTunes, it may require less free space on the phone.
