Hi, I set up the fingerprint ID yesterday without any problems and am using it as an alternative to entering the passcode.
When setting it up, the phone tells you when to place and lift your finger, it also vibrates. It also announces when it has been set up successfully. I had to place and lift my finger a number of times. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or whether it just wanted to make sure it could recognise my finger if it was only partially on the reader. You shouldn't have any problem.
