Hi Cara,

re the three finger swipe while in landscape mode, on my 4s when I
swipe to the left the calendar moves back in time. When I swipe to the
right the dates move forward. This appears to work like flipping the
pages of a datebook which makes sense to me. Are you getting different
behavior?

And thanks for the detailed explanation of the calendar. It helped a
lot. I'm still using both VO calendar and the native app, but I am
more comfortable with the native app now.
