Anthony, In the case where the Favorites category is used to bypass the Do Not Disturb settings you must have the different phone numbers defined as Favorites. So in my case, I have two entries in Favorites for my wife, one for her mobile number and one for her work number. That way if I have Do Not Disturb set and she calls from either number it still comes through. With the multiple entries in Favorites and with iOS 6 the explicit phone number was a part of the label for the Favorites list and I could easily call her mobile or work by double-tapping the correct entry in Favorites. I believe this kind of situation is what Tom was referring to in his original post.
