My e-mail inbox has doubled in the past week with people reporting bugs and
asking how to use features.  If the learning curve is that high, or if that
many bugs are being found, I'll wait.

You can hold out as long as you see fit.  The upgrade is downloaded, not
installed.  If you can live with thee update on your phone ready to install,
I don't see the reason for your hessitancy anyway.
