I haven't noticed a way of turning this off, the one good thing is that at 
least it seems to sort the apps such that the ones which have not been updated 
yet are at the top, irrespective of when the update was made available. Also I 
quite like to be able to go back and check the changes and updates.  I can 
nderstand how this clutter would be annoying for some though .
