Hi Candy and others,

Just writing to confirm the findings of poor responsiveness and other
problems with Siri after installing the iOS7 upgrade. For example...

When asking Siri questions I'm experiencing incredibly long delays.
At times Siri doesn't respond at all with an answer so I have to manually
read the screen.
I am often misunderstood by Siri so very inaccurate prompts are shown.
I also have to stop Siri dead in it's tracks by using the home button as
simply replying to the voice prompts results in more odd questions such as
repeatedly wanting to launch apps.
When I try to manually swipe through the screen to try to get some sort of
information, the highlight jumps all over the screen no matter how many
different ways I try to swipe.
If I unload VoiceOver Siri is much more responsive, but it is still just a
bit less accurate than the iOS6 version.
None of this was happening before installing iOS7.

In conclusion, on my iPod Touch 5th gen, Siri is now much more of a
problem-riddled hindrance than help. I will add that iOS7 is just a tad
slower than before, but it is the same as before when not using Siri.

Joseph

Carol, I find Siri's performance to be lacking considerably in this upgrade.
First of all, the dictation is very poor as far as responsiveness. As you
say, half of the time, she doesn't read it back. Another problem I have is
this, if I turn voice over off, and then ask Siri a question or give her a
task, she does much better than if I have voice over on. All of my sighted
friends say that they feel that Siri works much better with IOS 7, but, I
think that is because they don't use voice over. That is why I tried
turning it off, and did seem to get better results. There are many times I
wish I hadn't upgraded, but, there are features I like. I'll just have to
be patient.
