In the meantime, you can accomplish pretty much the same thing by saying Siri wake me in one half hour for the medium cooking item. Then say Siri, wake me in one hour for the longer cooking item. That with the timer for the short item should get you there as a work around.

It is one of the tabs in the Clock app just like Worldclock, Alarms and Stopwatch. You can set it using SIRI simply by saying "Set the timer for 10 minutes" or whatever you want the time to be. Only thing missing is the ability to set multiple timers like you can set multiple alarms. Often when you are cooking something you might have something in the oven which takes a long time, but maybe you then want to set a second timer for something else. This is one thing I thought about yesterday and I'll have to send it in via the feedback web form so hopefully Apple will have received a few more requests for this and implement it maybe in iOS 8.
